What is Zoning?
Why ProZone Zoning Panels?
All ProZone zoning panels are compatible with Gas/Electric, Conventional Heat Pumps and Dual Fuel Heat Pumps.
All ProZone zoning panels use plug and play dampers.
All ProZone zoning panels meet ASHRAE 62-2 and Title24 requirement for fresh air control.
All ProZone zoning panels can bypass using external bypass, modulating non-calling zone dampers (depending on the installation), or setting the close limit on each zone damper.
All ProZone zoning panels can be programmed and cloned using the handheld PDMi3 carried by the installer.
Zoning is simply dividing the home into different areas or zones. Each zone has its own thermostat that controls the temperature for that zone, therefore improving comfort by reducing overheating or overcooling the zone. Plus, zoning reduces energy use by heating or cooling only those zones that are being used.
You don't use one light switch to control the lighting in your entire home. That would be inefficient and frustrating. Yet, most homes have only one thermostat that controls the temperature for the entire home. Zoning just makes sense.
